Transfer of a Psychotic Individual

Transfer of a Psychotic Individual from Police Custody to Eve Intensive Care Facility.

This case was particularly challenging as the person, who had a history of schizophrenia and drug intoxication, was found in a highly psychotic state and was involved in multiple traffic accidents due to negligence. Individual was taken into custody by the police in Kuala Lumpur and faced an ongoing court case related to the incident. However, due to his severe psychotic condition, immediate psychiatric intervention was required.

Upon being contacted by the family, our team was assigned to facilitate the individual’s transfer from police custody to a psychiatric facility. Given the severity of their condition, extreme precautions were necessary. The transfer required meticulous planning, including coordination with law enforcement on standard procedures and assembling a skilled team of seven members, including two male nurses for medical support.

Despite the critical nature of the situation, the team successfully transferred the individual to Eve’s Intensive Care Facility in Selangor, ensuring their safety and access to proper psychiatric care while legal proceedings continued.
